Privacy Policy

STATSketball (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Tarantino Software Consulting LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the STATSketball mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”), how we use that information, and the choices you have regarding your data.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you sign in with your Google account to save a favorite team, we receive and store the following information from Google:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your profile picture
We do not collect any additional personal information beyond what Google provides during the sign-in process. You are never required to sign in — the Service's core features (scores, rankings, schedules, rosters, and team comparisons) are available without an account.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Service, certain information is collected automatically by us and our third-party service providers:
- Usage data — pages viewed, features used, interactions, session duration, and navigation paths
- Device information — device type, operating system and version, screen resolution, and app version
- Error and performance data — crash reports, error logs, and performance diagnostics
- IP address — collected by our hosting and analytics providers as part of standard web and app traffic; we do not use IP addresses to identify individual users
Subscription information
If you subscribe to STATSketball Pro, we store your subscription tier and status in our database to manage access to premium features. We do not directly collect or store payment card details — all payment information is entered on and processed by Stripe, our payment provider. See the Third-Party Services section for details.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect precise geolocation, health data, contacts, photos, or any data from other apps on your device. We do not directly collect or store payment card details. We do not track you across other apps or websites for advertising purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

We do not use your information for advertising, sell your personal data, or share it with data brokers.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate and improve the Service. Each provider receives only the data necessary to perform its function and is bound by its own privacy policy:

Your account data (name, email, profile picture, and favorite team selection) is stored using secure, cloud-hosted database infrastructure. This data is used solely to provide the Service and is not shared with third parties for marketing or advertising.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information (name, email, profile picture) for as long as you maintain an active account with the Service. If you delete your account through the app, your personal information is removed immediately. If you request deletion via email, your data will be removed within 30 days. In either case, data may be retained where required by law.
Anonymized analytics and aggregated usage data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely to help us improve the Service.
6. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication via Google's OAuth 2.0 protocol, and access controls on our infrastructure.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
7. Your Rights & Choices
Account deletion
You can delete your account directly from the app by going to Settings → Account Settings → Delete Account. This immediately and permanently removes your account, preferences, and cancels any active subscription. Alternatively, you may request deletion by contacting us at support@statsketball.app, and your data will be removed within 30 days.
Use without an account
You are not required to create an account to use the Service. Scores, rankings, schedules, rosters, and team comparisons are all accessible without signing in.
Analytics opt-out
You can opt out of product analytics at any time by going to Settings → Account Settings and toggling off “Share Analytics.” When opted out, no usage events are collected or sent to our analytics provider. Your preference is saved locally and persists across sessions. You can also limit identity-linked analytics by signing out of your account. California residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to request disclosure of the personal information we collect and the right to request deletion of that information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at the address below.
European residents (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, as well as the right to restrict or object to processing. Our legal basis for processing is your consent (when you sign in) and our legitimate interest in improving the Service (for analytics). To exercise your rights, contact us at the address below.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
